Staff Therapist

 
Cessi is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist- Intern and a bi-lingual staff therapist at Innovative Alternatives, Inc. Cessi received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from the University of Miami. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in Psychology in Education from Columbia University and a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Miami. She is a member of the American Psychological Association.

Cessi provides individual, group, marriage, and family therapy utilizing a variety of models and techniques in both English and Spanish. Her clinical interests include depression, anxiety, grief, adjustment disorders, eating disorders, and immigration issues. .

While Cessi works with all populations, she especially enjoys working with children and adolescents from diverse multi-cultural backgrounds. Her therapeutic orientation consists of cognitive, psychodynamic, client centered, and family systems therapy

Cessi’s outside interests include yoga, tennis, and writing poetry
