Faith Based ServicesWe offer our services in both Christian and secular formats. Clients need to request a Christian counselor when making their initial appointment.Clients must also indicate how they wish to incorporate their beliefs into their treatment, by letting their provider know if they wish to pray in sessions and/or by examining behaviors, thoughts and emotional patterns in light of scripture. Our service providers never impose personal beliefs or doctrinal views on any client. If clients are seeking clarity on their beliefs, counselors will simply direct them to passages for study and ask them to discuss how these are impacting their thoughts, feelings and behaviors when they are ready. Clients are referred to their pastors for discussion of any denominational issues. With a client’s release, Innovative Alternatives, Inc. is open to consultation with pastors as needed. Mediation Service Philosophy: According to Matthew 18:15 & 16, “if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault… if he will not hear, take with you one or two more,” and Matthew 5:25, “Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court” These are the Biblical foundations for our mediation services. Church leaders may receive training from IAI Christian Trainers to learn to assist church members in resolving conflicts, or experienced mediators from IAI may perform mediations between members or staff. This valuable service is needed throughout the Christian community to enable individuals to work through issues and conflicts. “Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil an opportunity.” (Eph 4:26,27) Married couples and families in particular need this process to find their way to peace after years of conflict. Please click the following links for more details about our programs: |
