Pastor Lawrence Jones has 29 years of service as a pastor. He is currently the Senior Pastor of Santa Fe First Baptist Church in Santa Fe, Texas. God has called him to a life of ministry in ‘troubled churches’ and he has been assigned to 4 churches in turmoil resulting from conflict among God’s people. He successfully brought 3 of them back and the Lord allowed Him to see the devastation as one of them succumbed to the destructive nature of unresolved conflict. He is therefore well versed in the need for pastors to be armed with skills to combat the destruction that can result from such conflict. The last troubled church he pastored, before his current assignment from the Lord, drained him and his family, but charted the next course on which the Lord would place him—a journey to learn how to minister to other pastors who struggle with disruption of their churches by those who seek to sow conflict and divisiveness. Larry effectively relays what God’s Word has to say about conflict and teaches on the importance of placing structures within the church for addressing these issues as they arise. He provides sound Biblical basis for the structure he recommends to pastors in this regard.
