The crime must have taken place in Texas
A crime must remain the focus of treatment, however, discussion does not always focus on what happened as much as the impact to one’s 1) view of self; 2) trust in relationships; and 3) spiritual damage.
It does not matter when the crime occurred.
It does not matter whether the crime was reported to any authorities.
However, if this was a crime that occurred in the last 3 years and it was reported to authorities (not necessary to have had arrests or convictions), we can also help you apply for Crime Victims Compensation which pays for counseling and other services beyond the time our grant allows.

o Sliding Scale is based upon the household income of the client, the credential of the mental health provider AND the number of clients attending sessions (individuals, couples or families) as follows for counseling:
$25/session at the lowest range for an individual seen by an intern, to $175/session at the high end for large families and the greatest level of experience, specialty, and licensure of the Counselor.

o IA often uses 2 Co-Mediators for each session and offers Credentialed Mediators with the Texas Mediation Credentialing Association. Group mediations involving more than three persons are billed according to the size and scope of the mediation on a case-by-case quote.
